Let me guess: when you open up your email inbox, you’re bombarded with emails from political campaigns or advocacy organizations, some of which you may not have even heard of.
I know it’s a lot. And it’s why in a sea of promises that “Donald Trump is FINISHED” and breathless “5X MATCH NOW!!!” emails, I work really hard to make sure our messages are different.
And the fact that you even opened this email gives me hope it’s working. Thank you.
If I could, I would wave a magic wand, overturn Citizens United and get big money out of politics. Then I wouldn’t need to send these emails in order to fight back against the onslaught of right-wing Super PAC money.
But here’s the truth: almost all of the donations we receive come from people giving $10, $25, or $50 at a time — very often responding to emails like this one.
And while I certainly don’t expect you or anyone else to donate to every email my team and I send, I hope you’ll consider donating to this one.
