The 'kill pill' is fueling a rise in abortions -- will you stand with us?

Dear John,

The battle to defend the unborn often unfolds behind the scenes of politics and policy, but its consequences are tragically visible in our culture.

Back in May, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. pledged to reevaluate the safety regulations for mifepristone -- the abortion drug that now accounts for nearly two-thirds of all U.S. abortions. But that review is apparently still taking place.

During recent hearings in the U.S. Senate, Senators pressed him again, underscoring the urgency of reform. They are also calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate abortion drug manufacturers who misled women about mifepristone's threat to their safety.

This week, we received another confirmation that the drug is being reviewed but until the FDA (under the authority of HHS) and DOJ act, abortion rates will continue to rise, and women will continue to be deceived into believing this lethal drug is no more dangerous to them than a Tylenol.

The truth is far different. Studies show over 10% of women who use abortion drugs end up with serious complications -- including hemorrhaging, infection, and lifelong trauma. They are told these experiences are "rare" or "mild," but nothing could be further from the truth.

Family Research Council has been communicating with the FDA as well as petitioning them to revisit the approval of mifepristone. We are asking that while the review takes place, the FDA require the original safety standards for mifepristone and strengthen them with an ultrasound requirement so that fewer unborn lives are lost and the physical danger to women can be mitigated until the drug is repealed.

We are making progress, but it is difficult, and having your support in this battle is essential.

The clock is ticking. Will you give today to stop the onslaught of the abortion drug, mifepristone? Many dealers sell this drug for as low as $90, while Planned Parenthood charges $300 to $800! Until midnight tonight, your gift of $30, $50, $100, or more -- TRIPLED by our $300,000 challenge match -- can represent an unborn child spared from this deadly lie.

And to thank you for your gift, we'll send you a pro-life keychain so every time you check your mailbox, you are reminded of the lives you're helping to save.

STAND FOR LIFE WITH 3X THE IMPACT

The assault on life doesn't end with the unborn. A culture that devalues life at its earliest stages soon finds itself awash in lawlessness and violence. We see it in the rising tragedies in our cities, in the shocking assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk on a college campus, and in the senseless acts of violence tearing at our communities.

When a society denies that human beings are made in the image of God, it sows the wind -- and reaps the whirlwind.

This is why Senator Tim Kaine's recent assertion that our rights come from government and not from God is so dangerous.

If government is the source of our rights, then even the right to life can be erased when it becomes inconvenient. And if life itself has no intrinsic worth, every other right is built on shifting sand. Our founders understood this truth when they declared that we are "endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."

Family Research Council is committed to restoring this foundational truth to our laws and culture.

From filing amicus briefs, to working with lawmakers to defund abortion providers like we did with the "One Big Beautiful Bill" back in June, to urging the Trump administration to rescind radical Biden-era policies and stop the abortion drug, FRC is pressing forward with clarity and conviction in the defense of life.

But this work is only possible with your partnership.

Your gift will help us expose the lies of the abortion industry, defend pro-life laws, and mobilize believers nationwide. A $50 donation becomes $150, and a $100 donation becomes $300 until midnight tonight thanks to our matching challenge -- enough to stand in the gap for one unborn life.

And, don't forget, we'll also send you our new pro-life keychain!

TRIPLE MY GIFT TO DEFEND LIFE

The stakes could not be higher.

Since Roe v. Wade was handed down in 1973, more than 63 million unborn children have been lost to abortion. Of those, over 50 million would have been millennials or members of Generation Z -- an entire generation missing from our schools, workplaces, and churches.

These are not mere statistics; they represent brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, and friends who will never walk among us.

As the Word of God urges, "Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, "Behold, we did not know this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?" (Proverbs 24:11-12 ESV).

FRC is fighting tirelessly to defend the unborn. I pray you will join us. Together, we can stop chemical abortion, defend the right to life, and save tomorrow's children today.

Unborn children are counting on us.
