On June 17, we endorsed Christina Bohannan to take on anti-choice extremist Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa's 1st Congressional District. Since then, Miller-Meeks has raised costs and cut Medicaid for Iowans, and Christina has serious momentum to FLIP this U.S. House seat in 2026.

Since our endorsement, Christina has been everywhere in IA-01:

- Visited county fairs and talked with local small business owners about the effects of tariffs 
- Called out Miller-Meeks for her loyalty to billionaire donors and corporate backers over the Iowans she is supposed to represent 
- Joined local unions on the picket lines to fight for fair wages  
- Met with local farmers to talk about what the future of farming looks like in the Hawkeye state
- Hosted town halls around the district, and listened to what Iowans want from their representation in Congress 

Last cycle, Christina lost by just 799 votes. That margin is razor thin — and proof that this race is absolutely winnable. Iowans are ready to move on from Miller-Meeks’ corruption and cruelty. Now it's up to us to make sure Christina has the resources to win.
