The end of the quarter is coming up in a matter of days.

If you want to know why this quarterly fundraising goal is so critical, think about just how much has happened in the fight for a fair democracy since June. This moment requires scaling up to meet the demands of constant attacks on our democracy — our team has crunched the numbers, and it is vital that our team hits our goal to stay on track.

In a moment, I’ll explain more about what we’re up against, but first, will you make a donation to help hit our quarterly fundraising goal?

Here’s the situation we’re in. The Trump administration and its Republican allies have launched a coordinated attack on our democracy on multiple fronts:

  • Texas: Republicans enacted an egregious, racially gerrymandered congressional map that diminishes the voting power of communities of color.

  • Missouri: This month, lawmakers passed their own extreme gerrymander that would slice and dice Kansas City, depriving both urban and rural communities of fair representation.

  • Ohio: The state is set to redraw its already-gerrymandered congressional map, and the GOP is eyeing as many as three seats to flip in their direction.

  • Indiana: The White House and Donald Trump are pressuring state legislators to follow Texas and Missouri’s lead, despite growing bipartisan opposition. The Republican governor just said publicly that if they don’t go along with the White House’s plan, they could face “consequences.”

  • Louisiana: The fair maps movement is headed to the Supreme Court in a case that will determine not just the future of Louisiana’s new, fair congressional map — but the future of the Voting Rights Act itself.

And that doesn’t even include the critical elections for Virginia’s governor and House of Delegates, and Pennsylvania’s state supreme court — all of which the GOP is spending big on to win.

These unprecedented attacks on democracy and fair representation are a clear sign of why we need to scale up our efforts across the country.

If you can, please donate to help reach our grassroots goal and ensure we’re able to keep pushing back whenever and wherever Republicans try to cheat their way into unchecked power.

Thanks for fighting alongside us,

— Biz
