Dear John,
Keir Starmer says every working person in the UK will be required to have mandatory digital ID.
That’s not the kind of country we want to be – one where people are forced to turn over their private data just to go about their daily lives. |
People shouldn’t be turned into criminals just because they can’t have a digital ID, or choose not to. This will be especially worrying to millions of older people, people living in poverty and disabled people – who are more likely to be digitally excluded. This whole scheme would cost taxpayers billions, and for what?
We’ve seen it before - government tech projects that spiral out of control, waste huge sums of money, and don’t actually work.
The Labour-party remains obsessed with ID cards at the cost of cutting GP waiting times, fixing social care, or tackling the housing crisis.
I'm saying No to Digital ID cards. |
If you agree, add your name to my petition calling on Keir Starmer to cancel his plans for digital ID: |
