Dear Friend,
Politics rarely slows down, and this week is proof of that. There's no "off season" when so much is on the line, from pivotal fights in D.C. to action in state legislatures. There's a lot to cover — even a moment that shows just how far some of our members are willing to go to make a difference. |
SUPPORTING THE HFC IN DC SHUTDOWN FIGHT
The House Freedom Caucus hasn’t wasted a minute going on offense in the critical battle to defeat the extension of Obamacare premium tax credits, which are set to expire at the end of this year.
If you look at the House Freedom Caucus’s X account, you will see that they have been relentlessly battling the Swamp over this critical issue. And your State Freedom Caucuses were proud to join their messaging fight and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our courageous, conservative warriors in the U.S. House.
With a government funding deadline just days away on September 30, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are threatening President Trump with a shutdown if these subsidies are not extended.
House Republicans have forged ahead — passing a short-term funding bill without the subsidies — to avert a shutdown through November without caving to demands that taxpayers fund hundreds of billions for everything from transgender surgeries to abortions to health insurance giveaways for illegal immigrants. It’s common sense to fight this from happening, but it requires real backbone.
Below is just one example of the statements our state freedom caucuses have issued to support the House Freedom Caucus in this critical fight. Our members have stood strong across the country refusing to let this happen! |
FOR CHARLIE
While the pain from Charlie Kirk's murder is still being felt, your Oklahoma Freedom Caucus is working hard to honor his courage and ensure his legacy stays alive.
Last week, the caucus filed two bills in the state legislature to do this. The first would designate Charlie's birthday - Oct 14 - as Charlie Kirk Free Speech Day. The second bill would require all in-state colleges to install a Charlie Kirk statue on campus to remind students and faculty of the value of free speech and encourage young leaders to follow in his footsteps and stand up for conservative values. |
LONG WALK FOR CHARLIE The local press is typically no friend to our state freedom caucuses, but Cowboy State Daily ran a nice piece about Wyoming Freedom Caucus member, State Rep. Shane Smith, and his long and determined walk to attend Charlie Kirk's memorial.
Stories like these remind us what sets our caucuses apart: real grit and real action for the cause of liberty. |
HELP US GROW
With autumn upon us, now is the time to double down on growing our movement. Now is the time to help us expand into new states, while keeping our current states strong, and turn up the heat on the most pressing issues facing America.
Every dollar counts and helps us ramp up pressure and ensure freedom flourishes across the country—especially now. Can we count on your support today?
Together, we’ll turn up the heat—and the momentum. |
We'll be back with another update next week. Until then, please be sure to support our efforts so that we can support our State Freedom Caucuses! In Liberty, |
