I didn’t grow up rich and I didn’t come from a political family. I’m a retired firefighter and labor advocate with 34 years on the job, running into emergencies while others ran out.

Now I see another emergency, and I’m running toward it again. I’m in this race because too many families are still being left behind.

I’m fed up with families working two or three jobs and still falling behind.
I’m fed up with politicians who’ve never worried about rent, groceries, or a medical bill they can’t pay.
I’m fed up with Rep. Young Kim showing up for her billionaire donors and ignoring the rest of us.

If we don’t flip this seat, working families in CA-40 will be ignored for another two years. That’s why I won’t give up, because when people are in trouble, I don’t walk away— I act.
