John, there are three major reasons why Kansas Democrats are setting big goals this early:

1️⃣ Staying prepared: Republicans in Topeka have shown they can change the rules at any time. Having the resources ready means we will not be caught off guard and can respond immediately when challenges arise.

2️⃣ Growing our base for 2026: When we plant and fund permanent Democratic operations everywhere, we can shave down the razor thin margins across the state that we'll NEED to win statewide elections on the ballot next year.

3️⃣ Connecting with people: Whether you're a Democrat, Unaffiliated or Republican, people across the political spectrum are sick and tired of out-of-touch elites leaving them behind. Right now, we have an opportunity to fund and host events like town hall tours and Democracy Fest to meet folks where they're at across the state.

John, what we raise by the end of this month will also be public, and we want to show just how powerful our grassroots organization is.
