North Star to Host Joint City Councils, City Mayors, and County Commissioners Meeting

 

North Star will host a joint meeting on Tuesday, September 30th, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Skagit County Public Health with the Skagit Board of County Commissioners and Mayors and City Councils of the cities of Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro-Woolley, and Anacortes.

North Star hosts regular joint meetings with elected officials representing Skagit County to ensure alignment and understanding between jurisdictions on North Star priorities and projects. The September 30th joint meeting will include discussions on the following items:


* Feedback and input on the draft interlocal agreement between the cities and the county formalizing the North Star partnership.
* Cross-jurisdictional sharing on addressing unique challenges in our communities and opportunities for regional collaboration.
* Proposals and next steps for collaborative opioid settlement fund investments.
* North Star 2026 workplan items.
