This week, Donald Trump issued a dubious executive order naming "Antifa" as a domestic terrorist organization. This is completely absurd.

But the Trump administration knows that.

Hidden in the executive order is their real insidious aim: to label anyone who protests, films, or documents the activities of ICE as domestic terrorists—making them subject to arrest and persecution:

The protest I joined at ICE’s Broadview processing facility last week, where ICE violently assaulted me and my neighbors, would have me labeled as a domestic terrorist under Trump’s executive order.

This is how fascists consolidate their power and destroy their opposition. And it doesn’t stop there — MAGA’s hate machine has flooded my inbox and social media with vile attacks. They want to smear me, intimidate me, and scare me off the frontlines:

But here’s the truth: Donald Trump and MAGA are resorting to extreme and desperate measures to try and silence us because our message is winning.

The vast majority of the American people will not tolerate what’s happening. They know that this isn’t law and order — it’s fascism. This nation was founded on the promise of liberty, justice, and equal protection under the law, not government thugs tearing families apart in the dead of night. Trump’s mass deportation agenda tramples over the values America was built on.

I’ve stood up to ICE in the streets of Chicago before I even became a candidate—tear gas, rubber bullets, and all. I’ve stood shoulder-to-shoulder with families targeted by ICE, canvassed neighborhoods to educate people about their rights, and rallied Chicagoans into action.
