Yesterday the court delivered a definitive win in our lawsuit against Donald Trump — permanently blocking the administration from withholding DHS funds from states that refuse to carry out Trump’s mass deportation agenda.

This is exactly why we fight — because with the law on our side, we win.

California receives grant funding from DHS to support our critical public safety work — from cybersecurity and emergency preparedness to crucial counter-terrorism efforts. Trump refusing that funding because we won’t be a cog in his anti-immigrant deportation machine violates the Constitution and exceeds the administration’s legal authority.

This ruling is a major win for California, for the rule of law, and for public safety.
