A new YouGov poll

released this week projects Nigel Farage’s Trump-loving Reform UK as winning
311 MPs; just 15 short of a majority. Here’s how they think that could look:

In his speech to Conference <[link removed]> this
week, Ed Davey laid out what this would mean and why we must stop it.

A Britain without the NHS. A government trampling over our basic rights and
freedoms. Racism and misogyny getting tacit support from people in power.
Ukraine abandoned, and our vital relations with Europe battered.

We’ve seen it in Trump’s America. We cannot let it become Farage’s Britain.

And it’s clear - we are the only party who can stop it. Labour’s support is
collapsing and the Conservatives are fading into irrelevance.

But, John, the Liberal Democrats are on the up.

YouGov’s poll gives us an increased number of seats. We had our best ever
general election result last year, and this May we beat both Labour and the
Conservatives at the same local elections for the first time in history.

And crucially, we’re the only party beating Reform in council by-elections
across the country right now.

This summer, we beat Reform in Luton

andDevon
<[link removed]>
, and gained a seat from them inDurham
<[link removed]>
in one of the first council by-elections they fought.

And we’re beating Labour and the Conservatives too, taking a seat in Keir
Starmer’s backyard inCamden

last month, and winning against the Conservatives inSurrey
<[link removed]>
to remove their majority on the county council.

So, John, it comes down to us. While Labour steal Reform’s rhetoric and the
Conservatives steal their policies, we are the antidote:

Reform’s empty, divisive words or our positive, practical solutions.

Their denigration of the other or our respect and empowerment.

Their withdrawal from international law and obligations or the embrace of our
internationalist beliefs.

That’s the choice we all face. So will you help us stop Nigel Farage getting
