General Newsletter From the Office of Senator Andy Kim

Happy Friday, New Jersey!

This week, Senator Kim was in New Jersey, talking with communities about economic growth opportunities, housing, education, and other issues impacting New Jersey ahead of the government funding deadline in Washington, DC.

Working for New Jersey:

PROMOTING ECONOMIC INVESTMENT & INNOVATION IN NEW JERSEY:

New Jersey has a rich history of innovation. This week, Senator Kim toured Samsung and LG to learn about the work they are doing and to highlight the immense economic opportunity that comes from Korean businesses investing in NJ.

Watch the Senator share more about his visits.

Meeting with Samsung
Samsung first came to NJ forty years ago. Like so many of us, Samsung saw our state as the beacon of economic and technological opportunity that it is.

Senator Kim was honored to attend the official opening of the new North American headquarters of Samsung Electronics America in Englewood Cliffs as we work toward growing partnerships between NJ and Korean businesses.

Meeting with LG
This week, Senator Kim also toured LG’s facilities and saw first-hand what is possible when companies like LG invest in our state.

This visit was another example of how New Jersey is a great hub for technological advancement and innovation.

We look forward to working with LG, Samsung, and others to ensure a flourishing relationship for years to come.

HEARING FROM NEW JERSEY’S AAPI COMMUNITY:

Thank you to all who joined us for our AAPI Community Conversations event in Jersey City.

Listen to a question the Senator received about high rent and the barriers to becoming a first-time home buyer.

Stories like these are why Senator Kim has introduced legislation and is fighting to build more affordable housing options in New Jersey.

Working for you at the Capitol:

FIGHTING FOR SCIENCE:

The claims Trump made about Autism yesterday are incredibly irresponsible and out of line with recommendations from actual medical professionals.

This is what happens when you have an administration that doesn’t believe in science, fires health experts, manipulates data, and cancels research programs.

Watch Senator Kim speak about this issue.

RESPONDING TO TRUMP’S UNITED NATIONS SPEECH:

Trump’s speech at the UN was an embarrassment for America. Far too much grandstanding based in falsehoods and pushing away crucial allies.

Watch Senator Kim's reaction.

FIGHTING FOR A GOVERNMENT THAT WORKS FOR YOU:

With costs skyrocketing due to high tariffs and Trump’s chaotic economic policies, and corruption in the news every day, Americans want a government that will work for them. No spikes to our healthcare premiums, no more funding claw backs, no government shutdown.

Despite this reality, Trump and Republicans in Congress are walking away from their responsibility to fund a government that works for the American people.

Here’s what’s at stake and why Senator Kim is fighting for you.
