The FCC pushed Jimmy Kimmel off the air for mocking Trump. Free speech is on the
line, and Virginia’s 2025 vote is the first chance to stop it.

Jimmy Kimmel told a joke Donald Trump didn’t like. The next day, the FCC stepped
in—and his show was yanked.

Think about that—a federal agency silencing a comedian because he mocked the
president.

This is what authoritarianism looks like. When free speech can be shut down with
the stroke of a pen, when critics are silenced for “hurt feelings,” we are
living in dangerous times.

And it won’t stop at late-night TV. If they can silence comedians, they can
silence journalists, organizers, and everyday citizens who dare to dissent.

Virginia has the only statewide elections in 2025. That makes us the first test
of whether voters will reject Trump’s authoritarian playbook and protect free
speech.

This November, we have the power to show the country that we won’t tolerate
censorship, intimidation, or MAGA’s assault on democracy.
