Donald Trump and his Republican allies are steering us straight into a crisis.

Trump has pushed us to the verge of a government shutdown because he’d rather play political games than protect people’s healthcare. He even canceled a planned meeting with me and Leader Hakeem Jeffries because he doesn’t want to hear about rising costs or the healthcare crisis his policies have created. He’d rather posture than govern.

Republicans need Democratic votes to fund the government, and if they want those votes, they must negotiate and address our concerns.
