[1]Talarico for Texas

John —

We know we’ve sent a fair number of emails since launching this campaign.
So before we ask any more of you, we wanted to take a step back to explain
why these emails are important.

As you know, U.S. Senate races are expensive — especially in a state like
Texas. We have the second-largest population in America, and there are 20
media markets spanning the state where we’ll have to run ads to get James’
message out to Texans.

It’s a lot of ground to cover, and right now, we’re coming up on our first
FEC deadline. It’s the first time we’re legally required to report our
fundraising numbers to the public. We’ll have to share who’s funding this
campaign and how much we’ve raised — down to the penny.

We need to report the strongest numbers possible to show that our campaign
is viable. And we are going to do it without a dime of corporate PAC
money. So how do we show our strength? We need LOTS of people like you
chipping in small amounts.

That’s where messages like this come in. This may surprise you, but the
number one source of donations by a landslide is people giving in response
to messages like this one — on emails, texts, and social media.

Without it, we’d stand no chance against our opponents’ corporate and
billionaire backers. So we’re asking:

[ [link removed] ]Will you please consider making a donation to James Talarico’s campaign
for the U.S. Senate? This is a people-powered movement. Your support is
the backbone of what we’re building.

Look, one of the best parts of a campaign is organizing — knocking doors
or holding events to meet voters who will decide this race.

James believes that the way to win Texas is to go everywhere and talk to
everyone. That takes significant resources, and it also means he doesn’t
have a ton of time to spend on the phone asking donors for money.

So please know when you give in response to an email like this, you’re
making a big difference. You’re keeping James on the road, so he can spend
more time talking to voters and giving you updates without worrying about
fundraising.

[ [link removed] ]If you can, please contribute before our FEC deadline in 5 days. Every
dollar counts. No amount is too small.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution
instantly.
