News from Congressman Mike Levin

Dear Neighbor,

One of my top priorities is lowering costs for you and your family. The cost of living in America is too expensive and I’m working hard every day to ensure all of us can afford to live and thrive in our country.

I want to make you aware of energy tax credits that can help lower your energy costs. Some expire as soon as September 30th, so make sure to use them before they’re gone.

Unfortunately, legislation recently signed into law by President Trump ends many of these credits, meaning your chance to use them to lower your energy bills is quickly running out.

Below are some that can still be used. Learn more and take advantage now:

  1. New Electric Vehicle Tax Credit (30D): Up to $7,500 for select electric vehicles acquired before September 30, 2025.
  2. Used Electric Vehicle Tax Credit (25E): Up to $4,000 for select electric vehicles acquired before September 30, 2025.
  3. Electric Vehicle Charger Tax Credit (30C): Up to $1,000 for EV chargers placed in service before June 30, 2026 in non-urban zip codes.
  4. Heat Pump Air Conditioner / Heater Tax Credit (25C): Up to $2,000 for installations before December 31, 2025.
  5. Heat Pump Water Heater Tax Credit (25C): Up to $2,000 for installations before December 31, 2025.
  6. Weatherization / Insulation (25C): Up to $1,200 for installations before December 31, 2025.
  7. Electrical Panel Tax Credit (25C): Up to $600 for installations before December 31, 2025.
  8. Home Energy Audit Tax Credit (25C): Up to $150 before December 31, 2025.
  9. Rooftop Solar Tax Credit (25D): 30% of qualifying costs for rooftop solar systems installed before December 31, 2025.
  10. Battery Storage Tax Credit (25D): 30% of qualifying costs for home battery storage systems installed before December 31, 2025.
  11. Geothermal Heating Tax Credit (25D): 30% of qualifying costs for home geothermal heating systems installed before December 31, 2025.

Make sure to use these popular federal home energy tax credits now.
