2025-2026 Student Video Contest Is Open!
The wait is over—our Population Education program's World of 8 Billion student video contest has officially opened for the 2025-2026 school year. We're inviting students in grades 6 through 12 (and international equivalents) to take on the challenge of creating a short video that connects population growth with one of today's most pressing global issues.
This year, participants will choose from three important topics: Energy, Wetlands, or Economics. The contest encourages students to research and understand these challenges and think critically and creatively about how to address them.

However, we know that withholding contraception from vulnerable women leads to more abortions, suffering, and death. As we mark World Contraception Day (September 26) and International Safe Abortion Day (September 28), let’s review the evidence.

Year-End Giving: Consider a Gift From Your IRA
If you're at least 70 ½ years old, you may make qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) directly from your traditional individual retirement account (IRA). A QCD is a tax-free gift, and it’s an advantageous way to support Population Connection. There are some important points to take into consideration about this form of giving, and we're here to answer any questions you might have as you think about supporting our work by giving from your IRA. Read more on our website, below!
