Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Education announced that the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is officially open! There are two simple steps for you to apply for financial aid:
- Make sure you and a parent (if applicable) have your FSA ID and password.
- Complete the FAFSA at Fafsa.gov.
Completing the FAFSA form is a key to accessing federal, state, and institutional financial aid that can help cover the cost of college or career training. We strongly encourage all students to complete the form as soon as possible. For most families, it takes 30 minutes or less to complete.
