Dear Democrats, Last week on National Voter Registration Day, we announced a new and exciting program to help build our registration and voter outreach program!
Thanks to the New Mexico Voting Rights Act, thousands of our neighbors are being automatically registered to vote for the first time. But here’s the challenge: most of these new voters are registering with no party affiliation. That means the Democratic share of registered voters is shrinking—even as the stakes in 2026 grow higher. On top of this, new voters registering as Democrats might not have information on upcoming elections. We want to make sure that every newly registered Democrat knows how to vote, when to vote, and what is at stake!
The Democratic Party of New Mexico is launching the No Talk Without Action Newly-Registered Voter Program to meet this moment. Our goal is simple but urgent: -
Welcome newly registered Democrats so they stay engaged, vote in every election, and become activists in their own communities.
- Reach newly registered independents (DTS) with a pro–working-class message to build lasting relationships and keep New Mexico blue.
How The Program Works: - We will hold newly registered voter outreach events in person and over Zoom.
-
We will provide you with a list of names and contact information for newly registered voters
- We will provide you with a letter. Volunteers will write a personal message on what is at stake in the upcoming election.
-
We will include Democratic Party Membership cards to all newly registered Democrats (see front and back below).
