** New School Year, New Outreach Materials!

We are really excited to present new psa-style videos, rack cards and social media channels to spread information about lead poisoning prevention. Our general lead 101 video titled "Keep Your Family Safe from Lead" (2 minute and 30 second versions are both available) is being translated into Spanish and multiple languages spoke by our immigrant neighbors. The other video was created in collaboration with the City of Rochester called "Lead Safe Cleani ng". Both videos are available on our new YouTube channel: @theleadcoalitionroc ([link removed]) . Anyone who would like to have a copy of these videos (instead of the links), reach out to our Program Director: [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) . If you are in the Finger Lakes, there is a different version available for you!
To complement our videos we have new cleaning tip stickers and checklists. We also have new rack cards with tips to reduce lead exposure. Both the checklists, stickers and rack cards are available in Spanish and many other languages. Reach out to [email protected] (mailto:[email protected] ) for your own copies.
The Coalition had a fantastic and busy summer 2025. We travelled to Kansas City for the Annual Lead and Healthy Housing Conference, tabled four times across the county and presented on lead poisoning prevention to more than 20 adults and teens.


** Our New Vision

In addition to our programs, this summer we completed the Coalition's strategic plan with support from our Causewave colleagues. As part of this process, we developed our new vision statement :

Together, we are creating healthy spaces and lead-safe futures for all.
In order to make our vision a reality we will be creating and implementing a comprehensive funding strategy by Aug. 31st, 2026.


** A Unique National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week Event

Join us for Frontline Voices: Family Stories and the Fight Against Lead.
What: A LEAD podcast listening event + panel with impacted families. We will have food, art and tips for helping our community reduce lead exposure!
