Rest In Peace Chad Banks

Image

I will miss my brother Whitley County Commissioner Chad Banks. Chad was a devoted husband and father to six children, a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, and a dedicated public servant. Please keep his wife Sarah, their children, my parents and extended family in your prayers.

America Is Back

Image

Yesterday, President Trump delivered one of his strongest foreign policy speeches yet at the United Nations. He reminded the world that America is back, and we will always put our people, our workers, and our country first.

He laid out what his administration has achieved so far: securing the border, restoring law and order, unleashing American energy so we are not dependent on anyone else, rebuilding our military so it is the strongest in the world, and making sure our allies carry their fair share.

President Trump also told the truth about the failures of globalism. He called out open-border policies that weaken nations, climate schemes that hurt workers and businesses, and endless international agreements that tie America’s hands while letting others cheat the system. Those days are over.

The world saw a strong and confident America that will protect its sovereignty, defend its citizens, and follow its values.

That is what real leadership looks like. That is what America First means. And that is why President Trump’s vision continues to inspire so many Americans who are proud of our country and want to see it strong again.

American Tech Workforce Act

Image

I recently introduced the American Tech Workforce Act which works to better align the visa program with labor market demands and protect American workers.

Corporations rigged the system to flood the country with cheap foreign labor and drive down wages. My bill puts American workers first. Click here to learn more.

Save Our Safety-Net Hospitals Act

Image

I recently introduced a bill to help hospital systems in Northwest Indiana receive fair funding. Hospitals like Methodist, Schneck, and Reid are struggling because of an unfair federal formula. This bill fixes that. Click here to learn more.

Dystonia Awareness Month

Image

I introduced a bipartisan resolution in the Senate to recognize September as Dystonia Awareness Month. Over 250,000 Americans live with this condition and it’s often misdiagnosed. Thank you to the Dystonia Advocacy Network for inviting me to speak with patients and advocates to raise awareness and support research.

Senate HELP Hearing

At last week's Senate Health Committee hearing I asked fired CDC Director Susan Monarez about choosing a well known Trump hating lawyer to represent her.

Her response: “uh….” Click here to watch.

Angels In Adoption Honorees

Image

Proud to nominate Heather and Josh Barkley as 2025 Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute Angels in Adoption honorees. I’ve long admired their selflessness and compassion.

It was great to see them in D.C. along with Rep. Erin Houchin's nominees, Emily and John Gibson. Their stories show how the power of adoption can changes lives.

Hoosier Leadership Series

Image

Thank you to the Hoosier Leadership Series for inviting me to speak at the Library of Congress.

Welcome To Noblesville USA Gymnastics!

Image

I’m excited to welcome USA Gymnastics to Noblesville. This new facility will give athletes the support they need, create jobs here at home, and put Indiana on the map as a leader in sports and community development. Big thanks and congratulations to Mayor Chris Jensen for his hard work in making this happen.

American Licorice Company

Great to visit with American Licorice Company CEO John Kretchmer in DC. A great company based in La Porte employing 250 Hoosiers.

American Academy of Dermatology Association

Great to catch up with dermatologists from across Indiana in my D.C. office.

Veterans History Project

Image

The Veterans History Project (VHP) was created by Congress in 2000 to collect and preserve the first-person narratives from United States military veterans from World War I through present day. Click here if you are a Hoosier veteran and would like to sit down and share your service story.
