I just got out of a meeting with my finance team. We’re 5 days away from our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline, and I need to be honest with you: we’re below our goal.

That matters, because what we raise before September 30th will be made public for everyone to see—the press, the pundits, and the Republican Super PACs already gearing up to spend millions to flip NY-03.

The New York Post was right when they said, “Rep. Tom Suozzi will face a strong challenge to his swing house seat.” I represent one of just 13 Democrats in the country who won in a district that President Trump also carried. That makes me a top target, and it means we need to show strength now.

Here’s the path forward:

• If just 500 grassroots supporters chip in over the next 5 days, we’ll be back on track.
• Every contribution—$5, $25, or $50—sends a clear message that we’re ready for the fight ahead.

I’ve always believed in common sense over chaos. That’s how we flipped this seat in the special election and defended it in the general. But I can’t do it alone—this grassroots team has made the difference before and will do so again.
