The 2026 Wisconsin Governor’s race is already heating up.

First, after serving Wisconsin for more than six years — expanding access to education, defending our fundamental rights, repairing our infrastructure, and stopping some of the most extreme GOP policies in the country — Governor Tony Evers announced he won’t be running for reelection.

Then, Republicans like Bill Berrien and Tom Tiffany started lining up for the Republican nomination by embracing the most extreme elements of their party, already spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on ads.

Now, we’re launching the Wisconsin Governor Readiness Project — our plan to build early infrastructure, mobilize voters across the state, and ensure we’re ready to elect a Democratic governor who will continue the progress Tony Evers has fought so hard to achieve.
