John,

In late July, we sent an email about a Trump apparatchik floating the idea of burning nearly $10 million worth of USAID-purchased contraceptives rather than deliver them to women overseas. [1]

This story, like this administration, is a mess. Reportedly, the contraceptives earmarked for destruction remain in a warehouse, [2] despite initial claims from the Trump administration that they had already been destroyed. [3]

Burning birth control is simply unacceptable. Donate now to keep the pressure up.

Adding fuel? Disinformation. The Trump administration continues to pretend contraception causes abortion. [3]

This is the latest in a long line of anti-abortion leaders falsely conflating birth control and abortion and using their disinformation to push for overreaching regulations on hormonal contraception. We won’t let them.

And the icing on this horrific cake? A quote from the State Department that contraception was not “lifesaving” and therefore the United States would no longer fund the purchase of birth control products for low-income nations. [2]

The lies they will plant about contraception seem bottomless but we will continue to blast them for every single one. Give today.

This is a clear and deliberate attempt to remove choices and options for people planning if, when, and how they grow their families. From abortion down to the pill, they want to take away any control we have over our own reproductive lives.

This cannot happen. Give today to stop it.

Sincerely,

Erin Matson

P.S. Truth is on our side. And it will help us win. Give today.
