A reduction in force would not only lay off employees but fully eliminate their positions, which would trigger yet another massive upheaval in a federal workforce that has already faced major rounds of cuts this year due to the incredibly stupid and useless DOGE crusade. Can we please be done with the stupid and let adults take back the wheel?

Now they're being tested." Yeah, they sure as shit are. Seems like a pretty good time for Democratic Party elders — like, ya know, Barack Obama — to speak just a little more forcefully about what's truly at stake. We sure could use some of that "fierce urgency of now" right about NOW.

Gavin Newsom of inciting "violence and terrorism" on Wednesday with his actually quite reasonable and accurate remarks about living under "an authoritarian government" during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Newsom rightly noted, "Masked men jumping out of unmarked cars; people disappearing; no due process; no oversight; zero accountability happening in the United States of America today. People ask, 'Well is authoritarianism you being hyperbolic?' Bullshit we're being hyperbolic. If you're [part of the] black and brown community, it’s here in this country." Miller claimed such language — without evidence, of course — was directly responsible for this week's deadly shooting at a Dallas ICE facility. In short, doing large-scale, dehumanizing, unconstitutional shit is not a problem or cause for concern, but calling it out most certainly is. Got it.
