Family Day is Back!
Creepy Crawly Critters
Saturday, October 4th
10 A.M. - 2 P.M.
Get ready for some spooky season fun at the Wyoming State Museum!
We're filling the building with "creepy" animals (bats, bugs, amphibians, reptiles), so you can learn what makes these misunderstood creatures so wonderful.
We'll have something for everyone in the family, from crafts and games, a chance to chat with other organizations, and educational talks from museum staff.
Calling All Wyoming Artists
Wyoming artists are invited to submit entries for the 2026 Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition, with a deadline of October 18th. This year’s exhibition will be featured as part of Wyoming's tribute to America's 250th anniversary. Artists are encouraged to submit entries celebrating Wyoming’s landscapes, communities, and people.
This biennial juried exhibition, established in 2000, celebrates Wyoming artists and will run from February 9 to August 8, 2026, at the Wyoming State Capitol. The exhibition is the primary avenue for the state museum to acquire contemporary Wyoming art. This year's juror is Kate Hlavin, Curator of the Coors Western Art Exhibit and Sale.
Questions can be directed to Nathan Doerr, Capitol Curator, at nathan[email protected] or (307) 823-2935.
