Time is running out. Congress is debating right now whether to extend the enhanced premium tax credits (ePTCs) that have helped more than 400,000 Alabamians access Marketplace health coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Some lawmakers are pushing to get this done by the Sept. 30 budget deadline to avoid a federal government shutdown.

If they don’t act before the end of the year, 130,000 Alabamians will lose coverage—and health care costs will skyrocket for families across our state.

Time is running out. Tell Congress to protect Alabamians' health care.

Older adults and families with lower incomes would bear the brunt of these premium hikes. For example:

➡️ A 60-year-old Alabama couple making $85,000 would see their annual premiums for a benchmark plan jump from $6,970 to more than $27,267.

We cannot let this happen. 👉 Add your name to Cover Alabama's petition today to demand Congress extend the enhanced ACA premium tax credits and protect affordable coverage for Alabama families.

Your voice is critical in this fight. Please take action now and urge your members of Congress to protect affordable health coverage for people across Alabama.
