FIRST: Trump commanded Republicans to refuse bipartisan meetings.

THEN: House Republicans canceled all votes until after the government shuts down.

NOW: Trump is so afraid of us taking the fight directly to the Oval Office that he's canceled a meeting with Senator Schumer and me.

My message to him is clear: You can run, but we will not let you hide from the fact that you are trying to shut the government down and gut American healthcare.

Everyone is watching to see how Democrats will respond. That's why I'm reaching out: Republicans think they can lie and cheat their way to another term in power so they can finally destroy the Affordable Care Act and privatize Medicare.
