Trump and his allies are constantly testing the limits of their authority — and the courts have only held them back because attorneys general like me have been willing to stand up, litigate, and fight for the people we serve.

The results speak for themselves: of the 384 cases filed against the Trump administration through August 28, 130 have already led to court orders blocking at least part of the president’s efforts, 148 cases are still awaiting rulings, and dozens of decisions have been the final word with no appeal.

Together, these lawsuits have created a steady line of legal setbacks and judicial reprimands for a president who has repeatedly pushed the limits of his power.
