John,
Prepare to see a lot of headlines about Pennsylvania’s State Supreme Court race.
According to The Downballot, conservative operatives are airing ads urging the state’s voters to oust three pro-democracy justices in the upcoming November elections. They’ve pledged to spend millions of dollars going after judicial candidates this year.
Listen, John, Pennsylvania is a battleground state that will be crucial in the next presidential election. And control of the Keystone State’s Supreme Court will determine whether or not free and fair elections are protected for years to come.
Let’s be clear: In 2018, the court struck down an effort to gerrymander Pennsylvania's maps. So now, anti-democracy forces want to remove justices from the bench to ensure they can pursue their goal of extreme partisan redistricting.
Looking ahead to the outcome of this critical election, we know these justices will make court decisions that will impact the lives of Pennsylvanians and the future of our democracy on issues ranging from blatant map manipulation and voting rights to reproductive freedom.
All On The Line is mobilizing voters to engage in Pennsylvania and critical state-level races across the country to ensure we have fair maps and a democracy that represents the will of the people.
