Together we can stand in the gap for the unborn.

Dear John,

The public was led to believe that the battle to end the killing of the unborn -- and the wounding of so many women -- was over with the overturn of Roe v. Wade. I wish that were true.

While we have made significant gains, the reality is sobering: the number of abortions in America has actually increased since Roe was overturned. I'll explain why in just a moment.

But first, let me share the progress we've made. Working with congressional leadership, FRC has played a key role in defunding abortion organizations like Planned Parenthood. What began as a 10-year funding stream was cut down to just one year in the Senate. While not the final victory, it is a significant step in the right direction.

Yet, believe it or not, abortion clinics themselves are not the primary driver of the increase in abortions. The real culprit is the abortion drug -- what I call the kill pill. Since Roe was overturned, it has fueled more than a 10% rise in abortions nationwide.

That's why FRC has made the abortion drug -- the kill pill -- a major focus of our work. We've seen important successes already, but the fight is far from over. And we will not stop until every life is protected and every mother is offered true hope and help.

Pressure from FRC has worked to halt the proliferation of abortion drugs into big-box retail stores. Last year, FRC's news outlet, The Washington Stand, exposed that Kroger had the abortion drug mifepristone seemingly "for sale" on their website. Soon after our article was published, the store removed the product from its website and reached out to us asking for a correction and denied carrying the drug, claiming it had been "listed in error."

Shortly after, Sam's Club backtracked and removed these drugs from being sold on their website as well. And now, Costco has joined the growing list of companies refusing to distribute them.

Additionally, we put pressure on drug stores by delivering petitions with tens of thousands of signatures from faithful believers like you -- putting them on public notice.

The average abortion drug regimen costs anywhere from $90 to $800! Your gift of $35, $50, $100, or more -- TRIPLED, this week only, through our $300,000 challenge match -- can represent one or more lives saved.

The real culprit is a Biden-era policy that remains in effect that allows abortion drugs to be sent through the mail without any in-person consultation with medical personnel. This is undermining the state laws that Dobbs enabled when Roe was overturned. State leaders are now having to fight to protect the laws that were passed to protect the unborn.

In Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton recently issued cease-and-desist letters to groups illegally shipping abortion drugs into the state. He found that abortion drug providers were selling these drugs, in spite of the state's pro-life laws, to men who wanted to kill their unborn and unwanted children without the baby's mother's knowledge. One woman was even poisoned by her boyfriend, killing the child and sending her to the hospital.

At the same time, Texas lawmakers have passed legislation strengthening protections against out-of-state mail-order abortions, ensuring that their state's pro-life laws cannot be sabotaged by radical activists. And it's not just lawmakers speaking out. Husbands, boyfriends, and fathers -- once told they had no voice regarding abortion -- are standing up in court to fight for their unborn children.

In Houston, one young father, Jerry Rodriguez, has filed multiple lawsuits after his girlfriend was allegedly coerced into chemical abortions that ended two pregnancies she had initially welcomed with joy. Now, with another child on the way, he is pressing his case not only for his own family but on behalf of fathers everywhere who long to defend their children.

As FRC's Mary Szoch has noted, men often have a greater influence on abortion decisions than they realize. When fathers pledge to stand by mother and child, more women choose life.

Mothers and fathers both have a responsibility to protect their children and stand firmly for the unborn. Yet at the very same time, politicians, schools, and abortionists are doing the opposite. They are undermining the family and taking decisions into their own hands -- decisions that have life-and-death consequences.

In Virginia, gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger refused to affirm whether parents should be notified if their underage daughters receive abortions. At the same time, Virginia's Fairfax County schools are under investigation for secretly arranging abortions for students without parental consent.

This is what the pro-abortion culture leads to: dangerous abortion drugs being given to vulnerable minors in secret and without any medical or parental oversight, all while politicians willingly turn a blind eye.

Will you stand with us today with a gift of any size, tripled, to help stop abortion drugs and defend life?

What is currently unfolding before us with the abortion drug is a reminder that ultimately, this fight is not political -- it is spiritual.

Proverbs 24:11 calls us to "Rescue those being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter." That is the call we embrace at Family Research Council.

Every petition delivered and every law defended is part of answering that command. We are not simply waging a political battle -- we are living out a biblical mandate to protect the innocent.

This is why we cannot grow weary. Even when the media mocks or the culture resists, God's Word does not change.

With your partnership, FRC will continue to expose lies, equip leaders, and stand boldly for the most vulnerable.

Thank you for standing with FRC to save tomorrow's children today.
