The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is excited to launch The Upright.
At AFSP, we know from scientific research the importance of offering culturally informed resources for mental health and suicide prevention. The unique lived experiences of diverse individuals and communities are critical factors when developing suicide prevention strategies.
But many programs and policies are developed without direct input from the communities they strive to support, leaving critical gaps in access, effectiveness, and cultural relevance.
The Upright was created to change that. Rooted in equity, action, and collaboration, The Upright serves as a hub for our health equity work, which is embedded in everything we do.
Learn more about The Upright on our new website at the link below, and stay tuned for more information about The Summit –– a three-part virtual series beginning October 28, which will bring together local and national experts who are connecting communities and driving change in the suicide prevention field.
