Friend — Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, was caught red-handed accepting a $50,000 cash bribe from undercover FBI agents.
He promised those agents, who were posing as contractors, favorable treatment under the Trump administration in exchange for the cash.
But when Trump took office, his FBI appointees killed the case in what we now know is clearly a political cover-up.
This is unacceptable. Tom Homan must resign, now.
This story proves once again that there are two different standards of justice in Trump’s America.
Tom Homan is tasked with overseeing Trump’s mass deportation agenda. For many of the immigrants he has helped arrest and deport, there’s no due process. They have no allies in the FBI who can sweep things under the rug. They get thrown into detention with deplorable conditions and no chance to prove their case.
But for Tom Homan? No accountability. No justice. He gets to walk free after committing a far greater crime — a naked violation of the public trust — than having the wrong immigration papers.
And just imagine for a moment if a Democratic elected official or appointee accepted $50,000 in cold, hard cash. Republicans would be calling for heads to roll, not backing off from their duty to prosecute corruption.
There are so many outrageous things happening in this administration, but we can’t let the case of Tom Homan fade into the background. That’s why we are asking you to help us put pressure on this administration today.
