Friend – if you know me, you know that hiking is my favorite way to get outdoors.

So with an outdoors as great as Colorado's, there's no better place in the nation to enjoy the fresh air, breathtaking vistas and diverse wildlife than the 24 million acres of public lands right in here in our backyards.

But it seems Donald Trump and his Republican allies do not share our same values. Just the other week, the Trump administration began the process of revoking the 2024 Public Lands Rule so that leasing our lands to corporate drilling, mining and logging interests takes official priority over safeguarding these wild spaces for future generations.

So I'm asking for your help to keep our public lands in public hands. Will you chip in $5 to join me in the fight to keep public lands free and available for all to use?

After years of meeting and speaking with folks from all over our state while on the trail, one thing is clear: Coloradans care just as deeply about preserving these majestic wild spaces as I do.

That's why, over my time in the U.S. Senate, some of my proudest achievements have been preserving our public lands – from establishing the Camp Hale-Continental Divide National Monument, to prohibiting oil and gas leasing in the Thompson Divide, to protecting more than 100,000 acres of the Hermosa Creek Watershed.

But Donald Trump and his allies have different priorities. Between trying to lease our lands, illegal funding cuts and the failed effort to sell off more than 3 MILLION acres of public lands into private hands, their reckless, out-of-touch agenda is a threat to Colorado's outdoors, our economy and our way of life.

Unlike them, I believe it's our shared responsibility to build a brighter future for our state and the generations who inherit it from us.

Protecting our outdoor wonders, and pushing for bold climate action, is just a part of fulfilling that duty.

So as governor, I will never waver in my commitment to protecting Colorado's great outdoors. With Donald Trump in office, I’ll not only lead the fight against his efforts to roll back our progress, but we will show how, at the state level, Colorado can lead the way in expanding protections for our parks, lands and open spaces.  Our kids and grandkids deserve nothing less – but I can't keep this promise without your support, friend, since I'm running a 100% grassroots-powered race.

Will you please help me keep up the fight for the future of Colorado's public lands as governor by donating $5 or more today?

Thank you for all you do,
