Friend -

Bad news: Health care costs for millions more families are about to soar
if Republican leaders in Congress allow enhanced premium tax credits for
Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance to expire. [ [link removed]- ] So I wanted to
make sure you saw the important message in my email to you below.

[1]It doesn’t have to be this way—and we need your help. Right now,
Democrats in Congress are trying to enter into bipartisan negotiations
with Republicans in order to stop rising health care costs, but so far,
Republican members of Congress have refused to negotiate. [ [link removed]- ] Instead,
they are trying to ram through a spending bill that continues to gut the
health care of everyday Americans.

[2]Quick signature: Tell Congress to reverse the cuts! Keep health care
affordable for millions—make ACA enhanced premium tax credits
permanent! *When you click, you’ll automatically sign on if we already
have your information.

Health care costs will skyrocket for people who buy their insurance
through the ACA Marketplace AND on the private market if Republicans fail
to act. [ [link removed]- ] We need to make the enhanced premium tax credits permanent and
cancel the cuts to our health care!

[3]Don’t forget to sign on! Congress must act now to make these tax
credits permanent!

Together we are a powerful voice for health.

Dear Friend,

“We went from a family of three to four, double income to single. We have
a plan through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that only costs us $168 per
month and it's a godsend compared to the $1000+ we were paying. Everyone
should have affordable health insurance!” - K, Colorado Mom

What’s happening? Families are feeling the strain of rising costs—from
everyday essentials like groceries and gas, to back-to-school supplies,
child care, and health care. Now, Republicans in Congress are about to
pull the rug out from under us yet again by increasing the cost of health
coverage for millions if they don’t act quickly. [1]

As we collectively brace for $1 trillion in health care cuts made in the
Republicans’ Big, Ugly Budget Bill passed this summer, 24 million people
who buy health coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace
are at risk of seeing their health premiums soar when the enhanced tax
credits expire at the end of 2025. [2] [3] But there’s still time!
Congress can make the enhanced premium tax credits permanent in the
upcoming funding bill!

[ [link removed]- ]SIGN NOW: Congress must act now to make these tax credits permanent!

Here’s why this matters: Millions of people—small business owners,
students, early retirees, contractors, and others without workplace
coverage—purchase their insurance via the Affordable Care Act (ACA)
Marketplace. [4] The vast majority of those with health care purchased
from the ACA Marketplace receive enhanced premium tax credits, created
during the pandemic to expand access by making coverage more affordable.
These credits drove the uninsured rate to a historic low and made ACA
plans far more affordable—saving the average enrollee $705 in 2024 or 44%
of their annual costs! [5]

But if Congress doesn’t act, premiums will spike by about 75%, putting
further strain on our families and economy. In fact, about 4 million
people will lose health insurance altogether. [6] Which is why it is
critical that Congress make these tax credits permanent ASAP.

Dear member of Congress,

Families are paying more for daily essentials—in grocery stores, at gas
stations, and on utility bills. On top of this, millions are bracing for
the $1 trillion in health care cuts passed this summer. Congress must
act NOW to protect families by making enhanced premium tax credits
permanent and rolling back harmful cuts to health care in the upcoming
funding bill.

The vast majority of the 24 million people who purchase their insurance
through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace receive enhanced
premium tax credits to make coverage more affordable. This has played a
huge role in bringing the uninsured rate to a historic low and made ACA
plans more broadly available and affordable.

If Congress allows the enhanced premium tax credits to expire,
Marketplace premiums will increase by about 75%, putting further strain
on our families and economy. Congress must take action to make the
enhanced premium tax credits permanent and roll back cuts to health care
to boost our families and economy!

Trump and Republicans in Congress promised to lower costs. Instead,
families are paying more for essentials and health care is under attack.
Enhanced premium tax credits are critical to affordable coverage, healthy
families, and a stronger economy.

[ [link removed]- ]Don’t forget to add your name! Congress must act now to make the
enhanced premium tax credits permanent and fight back against rising
costs!

The more people who speak out, the bigger our impact. Please take a moment

Together, we are a powerful voice for families.
