It is medicine to celebrate our cultures every day, with and in community. It is an absolute honor to represent the Latino community throughout the state of Minnesota in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
As a Puerto Rican born in Minnesota and raised in the first Latino district in the state, I am proud to share our community’s legacy, dedication, arts, music, commitment, and diversity. So many migration stories have paved the way and had a tremendous impact on every part of this state. I celebrate our people each and every day and will continue to bring our community’s values and strength to the Minnesota State Capitol.
Come celebrate Latin@ Heritage Month with me and State Representative Mary Frances Clardy at Micho Love on Sunday, September 28th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. We will also use this opportunity to highlight key legislative updates from our offices.
With the looming federal impacts of the Trump administration's cruel and regressive policies, it will take a whole-government and community-wide approach to defend every Minnesotan. Together, we are powerful, and we will use the voices and ancestral powers within each and every one of us to carry forward a legacy of love, compassion, and generational change that will uplift every community in our state.
