Our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline is around the corner. This is one of only four times each year that our campaign is required to report our fundraising data to the FEC.

While it’s a win for transparency in our politics, it’s also an opportunity for our opponents to take stock of the strength of our movement. Here are two reasons why we can’t miss our goal next week:

1. We’re facing unprecedented challenges. With redistricting in California up in the air, thousands of new voters could potentially be added to CA-49. We need to prepare for any outcome and boost our voter outreach efforts.
    
2. This is one of a handful of swing seats that could decide House control. The national GOP is lining up behind our challenger and pouring money and resources into defeating Mike.

Despite all in play, Mike is laser-focused in Congress. He’s brought back over a billion dollars in federal funding for our communities, and even in the minority party he continues to deliver results for Southern California and beyond.
