I’m still shaking from what I watched, John.

Donald Trump’s embarrassing, ranting, raving, totally lie-packed “speech” at the United Nations should have every conscious American wanting to hit the eject button on this presidency.

For Trump, at a time when inequality is through the roof, homelessness is spiking, and a record number of people are unemployed, the problem is brown people and green energy. And John, that’s the dumbest, most hateful analysis he could possibly make.

We don’t need any hypotheticals about the dangers of a presidency, and what life looks like for millions under Donald Trump. We are here, and it’s hateful, ignorant, and actively weakening everything from our pocketbooks to our lungs.

In California, we celebrate the contributions of immigrants and care for and about our planet for future generations. And nothing Trump says is going to change that.

We can’t have someone committed to half-measures and appeasement in Sacramento. Providing a firewall for California against extreme attacks on our state is the minimum. Ensuring California stands healthy and economically vibrant, independent of Trump’s bigoted, wasteful failures is what our next governor has to do.
