As you know, there will be a special election in California in just a few short weeks.
We didn’t expect to have an election this fall, and certainly didn’t expect to be voting on mid-term redistricting, but these aren’t normal times and this isn’t politics as usual.
Trump changed all the rules when he demanded Texas and other Republican states redraw districts in an attempt to steal control of Congress. We can’t sit by and let this happen without a fight.
I hope you will stand with me and support Prop 50.

It is important to note there are some key differences between Prop 50 and what other states are doing.
* Prop 50 gives voters the choice to approve these emergency redistricting measures
* It is on the ballot ONLY because other states moved ahead with their power grabs
* Prop 50 is TEMPORARY. The new maps would expire in 2030 and the independent redistricting commission will once again be responsible for drawing congressional maps
While Prop 50 is important, it is only one tool to help elect Democrats in 2026. We must also continue to raise money, run strong campaigns and turn out voters.
