Dear john,
We're a week away from a government shutdown unless a continuing resolution is signed into law. A continuing resolution, also known as a "CR," is legislation that would temporarily fund the government.
With Republicans in control of Congress and the White House, the responsibility is on them to fund our government.
Republicans can't proclaim that the ball is in "our court" when Republicans control the federal government.
I might add that Trump was supposed to meet with Democratic leadership this week to discuss government funding, but abruptly canceled the meeting.
How can you blame Democrats but be the ones walking away from the negotiating table?
All we want is to roll back the hundreds of billions in Medicaid cuts that will kick Americans off their healthcare and to work with Republicans to lower costs, just like they've promised but failed to deliver.
