Fellow American, Like you, I was horrified by the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk. His loss is not only a heartbreaking blow to his family and loved ones, but also a sobering reminder of the dangers conservatives face when we dare to speak the truth. That’s why I cosponsored and voted in favor of a resolution to condemn his horrific assassination, recognize law enforcement and emergency personnel for their efforts to bring about justice, and call upon all Americans to reject political violence and recommit to a respectful debate. Attempts to silence individuals through violence are against our nation’s foundational principles. We cannot — and will not — allow this to become the new normal. If you want to make a stand to defend free speech and put a stop to political violence in America, I need you with me. Can I count on you to join me in this fight?
