I recently sat down with CBS News Miami’s Jim DeFede to discuss why I’m running for Congress — and why I think we can defeat Republican Maria Salazar!

We talked about everything from ecofi, the company I started with my brother, to what families in Miami are facing when it comes to rising costs and the lack of affordable childcare, to the fact that I’m fluent in Spanish and would happily debate Salazar in Spanish (or English!).

Most importantly, I laid out how Salazar has failed us over and over: she betrayed immigrants in our community and supports Trump taking away TPS for Venezuelan and Haitian refugees. She voted to cut millions from Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. She hasn’t passed a single bill in 5 years. And she hasn’t held a single town hall and won’t meet with her constituents. 

Our community is fed up with being ignored. They want change — and our packed town hall earlier this month proves it.

I’m confident that if we continue to keep the pressure on, we can win even more voters to our side and flip this seat back to blue!
