I’m reaching out to ask you to join me in backing Rep. Robin Kelly’s campaign for U.S. Senate in Illinois. Here’s why I’m supporting her:

Robin and I have worked together to win some of the most important fights we've had in Congress. We would not have beaten the gun lobby and passed the first piece of gun safety legislation in over 30 years without her partnership and support.

Robin is a proven leader in Congress. She serves as Vice Chair of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and has been relentless in her advocacy. She's introduced over 30 gun violence prevention bills, led the historic 26-hour House sit-in to protest Republican inaction, and authored a report that reframed America’s gun violence epidemic as a public health crisis.

Robin has shown the courage to take on special interests like the gun lobby, and she gets results.

Now, with Trump systematically attacking our democracy, deploying federal troops in American cities, and ripping health care away from millions to fund billionaire tax cuts — we need more fighters like Robin in the Senate.

There’s an official FEC deadline in less than a week, and it’s an important moment to show the people are behind leaders with the courage to challenge Trump’s corruption and treat this moment like the crisis it is.
