The disaster we’ve been warning about for months is materializing before our eyes.

The National Republican Party has caught Democrats completely off guard and has launched a daring lightning blitz in an obscure but critically important judicial election in Pennsylvania that we thought we had in the bag. 

The race is the November 2025, Pennsylvania Supreme Court Election and if Democrats lose here we will never win Pennsylvania in an election again, not in 2026 and not in 2028 - 19 electoral college votes squandered. 

These judicial races typically garner zero attention and are often ignored by the national parties but with the courts being one of the only things standing in the way of Trump’s agenda we knew this year it would be different…

For months we rang the alarm that MAGA was going all out to win this race but no one listened. Now the GOP has broken through and is making this the most expensive Supreme Court election in American history. Democrats have been caught completely off guard and are being outspent 10-1. We are now on track for a catastrophic defeat. 

This was nothing short of an ambush, and Defend our Court, one of the only Democratic orgs holding the line, is scrambling to contain the GOP’s breakthrough. 

To plug the gaps in our lines we’ve spent nearly our entire field budget, which was supposed to last until November, to hire hundreds of new rapid response canvassers. Now we only have enough money to keep them knocking on doors until this Sunday. 

The best way to help us ensure we have the budget to keep our organizers in the field is with a weekly donation for the few remaining weeks until our November 4th election.
