Friend,

Our September Drive to protect public lands is underway – and we are so close to our goal. With just 3 days left until the September 27 National Public Lands Day deadline, we are within reach of our goal:

640 new members, one for every million acres of public land in the United States.

These lands belong to all of us.

They are where we hike with friends, fish with family, camp under the stars, ride through forests, and find peace in the wild.

But imagine this: you and your family show up to your favorite camping spot… and it's been bulldozed and clear-cut. You go to your local fishing hole… but the water has been poisoned by mine runoff. You finally take that vacation to the desert… only to find the trails closed so oil drills can move in.

Public lands are more than just scenery. They are part of our shared story, our culture, our health, and our freedom to explore. And they are under threat from corporate polluters, shortsighted political rollbacks, and the escalating impacts of climate change. If we want future generations to experience the same joy, adventure, and connection we do today, we must protect these lands now.

We've fought in Congress, lobbied on Capitol Hill, and taken the Trump administration to court to stop rollbacks and defend our shared wild spaces.

The Sierra Club is fighting back. And we are winning.

From removing public lands provisions from the reconciliation bill to stopping oil and gas leases, defending national monuments, and expanding protections for millions of acres, our movement is making a difference. But to protect 640 million acres of wildlands, forests, and parks, we need every voice — including yours, Friend.

There are no second chances to protect places like the Arctic Refuge, the Tongass National Forest, or Bears Ears. We have to act now or risk losing them forever.

Let's reach 640 NEW members strong by September 27 and stand united for every acre. Public lands are ours, and it's on all of us to keep them wild, accessible, and thriving.

Thank you for being part of this fight,
