In 2014, Sen. Joni Ernst became the first woman elected to represent Iowa in federal office, and the first female combat veteran to serve in the Senate — “a glass-ceiling crasher of the highest order,” according to Maggie’s List Iowa Chairwoman Gwen Ecklund. Maggie’s List was proud to endorse her in both of her Senate campaigns.
Sen. Ernst recently announced that she will not seek reelection. Within hours, another Maggie's List favorite, Rep. Ashley Hinson (IA-2), announced that she will seek Sen. Ernst's seat in 2026.
Maggie's List has now endorsed Rep. Hinson for the U.S. Senate, and we encourage you to support her campaign.
We also encourage you to check out our new website, which launched last week!
Additionally, if you are attending the NFRW Convention in Orlando this week, please swing by the Maggie's List booth so I can greet you in person!
And as always, thank you for your support!

During her years as an award-winning reporter, Rep. Hinson shared the stories of countless Iowans on the local news.
Hinson is now running to represent Iowa in the U.S. Senate, where those stories will continue to inform her as she shapes federal policy and improves the lives of workers, farmers, seniors, veterans and families.
As a congresswoman, Hinson has had a strong conservative track record of making government more efficient, delivering tax cuts for Iowa families and respecting Americans’ taxpayer dollars.

As the former CEO of Novel Iron Works, Hollie Noveletsky is a proven leader in business — and especially Buy American initiatives. Hollie is also a proud veteran and a healthcare professional, perspectives that will serve Americans well when she flips this seat in 2026.

Senator Deb Fischer
Senator Fischer (R-NE) is one of Maggie's List's Congressional Chairwomen and is a trailblazer for women in Congress, the first Nebraska woman elected to a full term when she defied expectations and first won in 2012.
Thank you, Senator Fischer, for once again serving as a Maggie's List Congressional Partner! We are so grateful for your leadership and for the ways you inspire and empower other women to serve in Congress!

If we want to endorse strong female conservative candidates from every state, we need to have Maggie's List state chairwomen in every state.
Currently we are seeing chairs for Rhode Island, Utah, Maine, Missouri, Idaho and Vermont. We are also looking for additional help in Texas and Wyoming.
Do you know energetic, connected women in any of these states who'd be strong advocates for Maggie's List's mission to see more conservative women elected to federal office? If so, please contact Jen Biddison at [email protected].
