Last night, Jimmy Kimmel’s return to live television was a small but important victory for the First Amendment and Free Speech. People pushed back, they used their voices and made an impact.  And the powers that be took notice.

But history has taught us a hard truth: if we let our guard down, government censorship can creep in.

That’s why Country First is taking action. This Thursday, at 1 PM Eastern, we’re holding a Day of Action to use our voices and make an impact by lobbying key members of Congress to defend Free Speech and the First Amendment.

The First Amendment is the bedrock of a healthy democracy. It protects speech we agree with and speech we don’t. It’s what separates our nation from countries that silence dissent.

Now it’s our turn to speak out. Let’s use our First Amendment rights to demand that Congress protect them.
