Anderson Clayton serves as the Chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party. Elected at 25 years old, she became the youngest chair of a state Democratic Party in the nation. Prior to her election as state party chair, Chair Clayton worked on Congresswoman Kathy Manning’s congressional campaign, in Iowa as a field organizer for the presidential campaigns of Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren, and later for the U.S. Senate campaign of Amy McGrath.
