You’ve probably heard of Citizens United and the disastrous impact it’s had on our campaign finance system. Now, there’s an exciting new initiative in Montana that could do away with it.

The innovative proposal is designed to stop corporate and dark money spending in elections via a ballot measure that would rewrite the laws that govern what powers companies are granted by the state in the first place.

The idea has already garnered support from high-profile political figures across the political spectrum — including former Gov. Marc Racicot (R-MT), former Gov. Steve Bullock (D-MT), and former Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT). Issue One has also endorsed the proposal.
